Interview with Dr. Ilaria Battolla, director and teacher of the Ippocrate Academy of Naturopathy.

Question: How did the idea for the new album CHAKRA - Harmonization and Activation come about?

Dr. Ilaria Battolla: The “CHAKRA - Harmonization and activation” project was born from the collaboration between the musician Rino Capitanata and the Ippocrate Academy of Naturopathy of which I am director and teacher. The idea arose from practical experience; in fact, Capitanata's music has always been used within the Academy during naturopathic sessions and holistic treatments for clients, especially in the energetic rebalancing of the chakras. The common intent is to help people feel better about themselves and others, to acquire greater awareness, to rediscover their energetic balance and a state of well-being.

Question: What are the characteristics of balanced Chakras?

Dr. Ilaria Battolla: Perhaps it is important to first define what the chakras are.

Everything is energy; we have a physical body and a "subtle" or etheric body, invisible to the five senses, in which there are points where energy is concentrated. According to the doctrines of ancient traditional medicines, chakras are energy centers; they absorb the "prana" or "qi", which is the vital force of the universe, distribute it in the physical body and put the latter in contact with the etheric body.
There are seven main chakras; they are positioned on the central axis of the body and each performs specific functions; influences organs, endocrine glands, emotions and thoughts.
Any energy block can give rise to a physical and emotional imbalance
Our body is a set of vibrations and waves; if the organs are in balance they vibrate at the right frequency, if they are out of balance they emit a disturbed frequency.
The body behaves like a tuning fork which, when placed next to another tuning fork, due to the phenomenon of resonance, starts to vibrate at the same frequency.

Let's now look at the individual chakras and their characteristics when they are in balance:

• The First Chakra (Root Centre), connected to the Earth element and the color red, allows us to reconnect to our deepest roots and feel at home, protected and safe
• The Second Chakra (Sacral Plexus), connected to the element Water and the color orange, allows you to let go and let go, to rediscover spontaneity, awareness of your body and the joy of living
• The Third Chakra (Solar Plexus), connected to the element of Fire and the color yellow, allows you to come into contact with the profound Self, to rediscover self-confidence, to express superior talents and qualities with joy and lightness in order to proceed with determination and wisdom in one's existential mission.
• The Fourth Chakra (Cardiac Plexus), connected to the element Air and the color green, allows you to open your heart, take care of yourself lovingly, empathize with others, welcome and give love with generosity and humility, feeling in harmony with all creation.
• The Fifth Chakra (Thyroid Plexus), connected to the ether element and the light blue color, allows us to come into contact with the truth that is within us and express it in an authentic, serene and responsible way
• The Sixth Chakra (Command Center), connected to the element of Light and the color violet-indigo, allows you to open your mind, overcome the limits of the dual vision of reality and access universal wisdom
• The Seventh Chakra (Crown Center), connected to the element of thought and the purple-white color, allows you to reconnect to the source of supreme Love, feel part of an expanding loving universe, rediscover inner peace and the meaning of life

Question: What is the importance of music in this project?

Dr. Ilaria Battolla: The music of the Chakra CD is a tool at our disposal to realign our frequencies and find a condition of balance; it is the link between the harmony of nature (macrocosm) and that of man (microcosm) in his totality of body, mind and spirit and contributes to the tendency of the human body to adhere to cosmic order and balance.
The chosen songs follow the 432 Hz tuning which is inspired by the oscillation cycles of nature itself and the universe; it eliminates tension and toxins, reduces stress and worries. The state of relaxation promotes creativity, memory and intuition.

By listening to them we learn to resonate and attract the same frequencies of universal love which in this way amplify and harmonize ourselves and the entire universe.
The inspired atmospheres accompany us to discover internal places where we can come into contact with our most authentic part, rediscovering vitality, joy of living, peace and well-being and elevating our awareness.
The intent of this new CD is to be a useful source of inspiration for holistic operators and therapists in their work of energetic and psycho-physical rebalancing and harmonization and a tool within the reach of anyone who wishes to rediscover a state of well-being.

Question: How were Rino Capitanata's songs chosen?

Dr. Ilaria Battolla: The repertoire of this artist, original and eclectic, is wide and varied, ranging between the sectors of ambient, wellness, naturalistic, sacral, minimalist music and allows the therapist to make the most effective choice to respond to the specific needs of the individual during energy rebalancing and harmonization treatments (Pranotherapy, Reiki, Tethahealing etc..) and the various types of massage (Bioenergetic, Ayurvedic, Tui Na, Californian, Lomi Lomi etc..).
His songs are an inexhaustible source of inspiration; the benefits found on clients in terms of relaxation, holistic rebalancing and well-being are concrete and often surprising.
Capitanata's music has something special and for this reason it stands out in the vast panorama of the commercial offer of 432 Hz music, of which he was undoubtedly a pioneer.

Question: How do sounds and music work to harmonize the Chakras?

Rino Capitanata: Sound transmits vibrations and particular harmonic frequencies that act directly on the chakras, awakening specific states of consciousness in them. Sound activates the entire spectrum of moods and feelings of our chakras, good and bad, bright and dark, divine and mundane.

If a Chakra is a little "out of tune" and does not vibrate in harmony, it can be re-tuned to the correct frequency, through a rebalancing process through harmonious vibrations.

It is important to know and become aware of your chakra system and know that we have the ability to balance the flow of life energy that flows through them. If the chakras are in balance the quality of our life improves; if energy flows freely without encountering blockages, we feel healthy and happy.

The music on the CD “CHAKRA - Harmonization and Activation” contains special frequencies and harmonies that align these subtle energy centers, helping vital energy to flow smoothly through them and throughout the body. In this way we find our balance; we feel relaxed and at ease.

Listening to these songs creates a special and mystical atmosphere that awakens the conscience and accompanies us in the fascinating experience of a journey from the first to the seventh Chakra. Awareness of the powerful nature of the Chakras elevates the quality of life and expands the consciousness of our human existence.

I am very satisfied to have collaborated with Dr. Ilaria Battolla and with all the staff of the Ippocrate Academy of Naturopathy. The realization of this project was a precious experience that I will always carry with me....
