Keywords: pre menstrual syndrome Characteristics: The action of Mestruodol-Alt-Plus® (PVB18) is aimed at reducing the general discomfort caused by dysmenorrhea thanks to the action of specific plants for this problem: CALENDULA OFFICINALIS, POTENTILLA ANSERINA, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM , MARRUBIUM VULGARE, ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, MELISSA OFFICINALIS, VALERIANA OFFICINALIS, which have a spasmolytic action reducing pain. ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, CALENDULA OFFICINALIS, ADIANTUM CAPILLUS-VENERIS, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM, MARRUBIUM VULGARE AND MENYANTHES TRIFOLIATA have an emmenagogue function. Particular consideration should be given to ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM which improves circulation and acts as an antispasmodic of the vascular system. It is also advisable to use plants with a general purifying effect as, often, dysmenorrheic episodes are not only caused by problems with the genital system, but are also linked to potentially connected systems (digestive system, excretory and osteo-articular system), without losing sight of the psychological component that can aggravate or improve the existing situation. From this perspective, plants that stimulate liver-intestinal function such as: CALENDULA OFFICINALIS, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM, ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, MARRUBIUM VULGARE, CENTAURIUM ERYTHRAEA, MENYANTHES TRIFOLIATA find a useful place; those with renal purifying function: ADIANTUM CAPILLUS-VENERIS, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM, ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, MARRUBIUM VULGARE, VERBASCUM THAPSUS; those with a disinflammatory function of the osteo-articular system: CALENDULA OFFICINALIS, ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, MELISSA OFFICINALIS, VALERIANA OFFICINALIS, VERBASCUM THAPSUS. Last but not least, the plants that act on the psychological component, alleviating problems related to psychophysical tiredness, nervous tension, migraines and nausea: POTENTILLA ANSERINA, ARTEMISIA VULGARIS, MELISSA OFFICINALIS, VALERIANA OFFICINALIS, CENTAURIUM ERYTHRAEA, MENYANTHES TRIFOLIATA. Dosage: 30 drops 3 times a day, in half a glass of water, 10 minutes before meals.
