Stop-Transit-Plus® (S11 Potentilla c.) By Leo Ingredients: Alcohol, Water, extracts of: TORMENTILLA (Potentilla erecta Rauschel) rhizome, GALEOPSIDE (Galeopsis segetum Necker) flowering aerial part, SALICARIA (Lythrum salicaria L.) top, OATS (Avena sativa L.) top, KINDBOW (Polygonum aviculare L.) aerial part. Keywords: Diarrheal diseases, enteritis, hemorrhoidal haemorrhages, intestinal catarrh Characteristics: Tormentilla rhizomes are particularly rich in tannins; therefore, if taken orally, they constitute a valid natural remedy against diarrhea. In the form of rinses, they are indicated in the symptomatic treatment of inflammation of the oral cavity (canker sores, mouth ulcers, etc.). Tannins cause vasoconstriction, hindering vasodilation and the consequent increase in vascular permeability that accompany phlogistic phenomena. If applied topically to the skin or damaged mucosa, they bind tenaciously to the proteins of the epithelial cells. Once they come into contact with the intestinal mucosa, therefore, the tannins decrease its permeability, producing an astringent effect that is particularly useful in the presence of diarrhea. At this and other levels, protein coagulation leads to the formation of a protective and antisecretory layer, useful for preventing the passage of pathogenic microorganisms and calming local inflammation. Dosage: 30 drops 2 times a day, in half a glass of water, 10 minutes before meals. Content per daily dose: 60 drops make available: Tormentilla 170 mg, Galeopside 25 mg, Salicaria 25 mg, Oats 15 mg, Centinodium 15 mg.
